This is one of our recent pieces from the «Abstract Series.» It builds a smaller series that consists of two images. This first image captures the object itself and its reflection in the water, creating a calm, reflective mood. It symbolizes inner balance. While the second image has a similar theme, but the calm, balanced vibe is missing. The object, reflected in the water, looks the same, but something profound has changed deep inside.
Behind the scenes.
Simple objects can bring a lot of inspiration. It’s harder to give a complex object a custom meaning. Like if you photograph a plane from close distance with all it’s many details of a plane, then it will be a plane, not a car, not a person, not something metaphorical. While with a simple object it’s much easier...
A peace of black paper is a piece of black paper. But if I ask you to imagine, it were a person or an idea or someone’s dream, then now it becomes a person, an idea or someone’s dream. Simplicity removes borders. It can open the door for imagination.
Materials.
Paper.
For paper-based prints, we use our favorite paper from the most renowned German manufacturer: Hanemühe Photo Rag. This robust paper features a pronounced texture while still reproducing even the finest details.
Frame.
We use only high-quality, German-made frames in a neutral wooden tone.
Aluminium.
Aluminium is our preferred material for its high-quality reproduction, attractive aesthetics, and practicality. Best of all, no frame is needed—everything for mounting is included, resulting in an elegant, minimalist solution.
