Behind the scenes.
The idea
For quite some time, we’ve been drawn to the idea of a glowing triangle suspended in midair. There’s something uncanny about that image. To heighten the sense of otherworldliness, we paired it with stark white cubes. The purple flower adds the final touch of the unexpected.
Making
The triangle itself is made of polished aluminum. Acting like a mirror, it catches and redirects our lights straight into the camera, creating an effect reminiscent of sunlight. All the objects—except the cubes—are secured with thin black threads to minimize any need for retouching. Thanks to this setup, the image could be exported directly, with no extra Photoshop work required.
Materials.
Paper.
For paper-based prints, we use our favorite paper from the most renowned German manufacturer: Hanemühe Photo Rag. This robust paper features a pronounced texture while still reproducing even the finest details.
Frame.
We use only high-quality, German-made frames in a neutral wooden tone.
Aluminium.
Aluminium is our preferred material for its high-quality reproduction, attractive aesthetics, and practicality. Best of all, no frame is needed—everything for mounting is included, resulting in an elegant, minimalist solution.
