This photograph became our first work to be featured in several exhibitions. Initially, it was displayed in Kyiv, Ukraine, and later it reached Italy and Germany. Although, due to circumstances, we were unable to attend the exhibitions ourselves, it was still a very meaningful moment for us.
Behind the scenes.
The idea
A small, fragile flower grows on a field of cold, white cubes despite all unfavourable circumstances. What originally seems unsuitable for life becomes the soil for the beginning of something new.
Making
Choosing a flower is always somewhat a matter of chance. It depends on factors like the time of year, the selection available at the flower shop, and, of course, a bit of luck. This makes searching for a flower so exciting. The element of luck adds unpredictability to the final result and to all the otherwise thorough planning.
Materials.
Paper.
For paper-based prints, we use our favorite paper from the most renowned German manufacturer: Hanemühe Photo Rag. This robust paper features a pronounced texture while still reproducing even the finest details.
Frame.
We use only high-quality, German-made frames in a neutral wooden tone.
Aluminium.
Aluminium is our preferred material for its high-quality reproduction, attractive aesthetics, and practicality. Best of all, no frame is needed—everything for mounting is included, resulting in an elegant, minimalist solution.
