Our passion for artistic still life photography is how mmiri began.
We first started by photographing flowers. Back then, the main reason was simply convenience. As we were developing our unique visual style, flowers—with all their rich forms, textures, and colors—were the perfect subjects to practice with. But as time went on, we continued working on our floral series. We found ourselves enjoying it more and more, and it slowly grew into a real passion for us. We learned how much we could express by photographing them and discovered how much inspiration and creative freedom they offered.
Later, our abstract series emerged. It started with an experiment: we had an idea to photograph three works together as a triptych. For the first time, one of the pieces didn’t feature flowers. Instead, it showed two pieces of paper lit in different ways. We liked the result so much that it became the foundation for a whole new series.

Working on these two series has been extremely satisfying. Each new image sparked ideas for more work. At the same time, however, we knew that we eventually wanted to try product photography. The idea that formed was to use our artistic work as a foundation for our product shots. This way, we could tie all our work together into one concept: using the floral and abstract pieces for creative experimentation, and then developing those ideas further in our product photography.
So, after nearly two full years focused on these artistic series, we began creating our first product shots. Of course, these particular images won’t be featured for sale in this shop, but we’re still happy to share them with you here. On the left, you’ll see an original piece from our floral or abstract series, and on the right, the corresponding product photo it inspired.
